Get Involved: The African Community Center’s Gift Basket Drive

Posted by metroafrican on Dec 9, 2008 in UncategorizedNo comments

The African Community Center is holding a gift drive to benefit its refugee community members, many of whom are experiencing their first Winter in Colorado. They ask that gifts be brought to the ACC office at 850 Holly Street in Denver by this Saturday the 13th. Download the flyer (pdf) for a run down of gift ideas.

If you are unable to donate by this Saturday, your donation is still wanted. After the 13th, donations can be dropped off at Safari Seconds thrift store at 410 Broadway. While you’re there, why not pick up a bargain for yourself or  a gift for a loved one?  All proceeds from the thrift store benefit the ACC’s refugee resettlement work.
