First Friday Pics – From Blackberries to Cafe Nuba

As most Denverites should know by now, the first Friday of the month is the night to get out and experience some great art - and music - for free.

Our night started at Blackberries in Five Points for some Ghanaian Adinkra art and live drumming.

The work of Nii Noi will be on exhibit at Blackberries throughout the month of February, so stop in some time and check it out.

pointscupApparently Blackberries has won The Points Cup two years running. I don't know what that is, but there's a trophy, so it must be prestigious.

From Blackberries we headed to Denver Open Media/KGNU for Cafe Nuba's First Friday party.

So two great parties, and all it cost us was the few bucks we tipped the bar tender as he handed us our FREE vodka and cranberries. Not a bad night.
