Annual Highlife Concert Returns with Guest Vusi Mahlasela
Posted by metroafrican on Mar 20, 2009 in Events • No commentsThe 9th Annual Highlife Concert presented by the CU College of Music is set to take over Mackey Auditorium on April 17th at 7:30pm. The event will feature the CU Boulder West African Highlife Ensemble, the only student ensemble in the USA that performs not just highlife but Afro-pop.
This year’s event will also feature the music of South African musician Vusi Mahlasela. Those who saw Vusi perform at the Soiled Dove know that you do not want to miss this show.
