MetroAfrican’s Isabella Muturi Sauve was honored to be invited to attend the upcoming First Ladies’ Luncheon featuring a keynote address by the First Lady of Ghana, Ernestina Naadu Mills. The luncheon is hosted by Project C.U.R.E. to generate awareness of health issues and raise money to deliver medical supplies and equipment.

About the Luncheon Lana Jefferson Taussig wrote the following on Project C.U.R.E.’s blog:

This year, PROJECT C.U.R.E. is proud to announce that the First Lady of Ghana, Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, will visit Denver for the fourth-annual First Ladies’ Luncheon on July 23, 2009. She will be the honored guest for the event and will speak to approximately 1,800 people about the health needs of people in her country. Thanks to a generous donation from title sponsor MillerCoors, all funds raised at the Luncheon will go directly to the delivery of medical supplies and equipment straight into the hands of medical professionals in Ghana to treat people in need.

The First Ladies’ Luncheon is an invite-only event, and the guest list fills up very quickly. If you are interested in learning more about the Luncheon and how you can be involved, please send an e-mail to projectcureinfo@projectcure.org.

Many thanks to Africa Agenda for saving a place at their table for Isabella. Stay tuned for her report from the luncheon.
