Isabel Muturi Sauve on KGNU's African Roots with Moutiou

KGNU radio host Moutiou invited metroAfrican's Isabel Muturi Sauve back to the African Roots radio show to talk about what's happening in Denver's African communities. Long-time readers will know that we launched metroAfrican on Moutiou's show nearly a year ago.
This time Isabel and Moutiou talked about past and upcoming African events in the metro area, the importance of hearing African perspectives, and the eating habits of a certain Kenyan musician. Give a listen to the discussion below:

Of course once you get a taste of Moutiou's African Roots show, you are going want to hear the whole thing. You can listen to the entire two-hour show jam-packed with the hottest African music right here:

As Isabel mentioned on the show we are currently looking for people willing to write for metroafrican.com. We want opinion pieces, event coverage, photos, videos, any- and everything... we just want a variety of voices from the Denver area. We want metroAfrican to be a community-wide dialogue, not just a one way discussion. Get in touch with us! Email us at metroafrican@gmail.com and connect with us on Facebook and on Twitter.
Thanks again to Moutiou and KGNU for inviting Isabel onto African Roots. You can catch African Roots every Saturday from 4-6pm on 1390 AM in Denver, 88.5 FM in Boulder, and 93.7 in Nederland. Or listen streaming online at kgnu.org.
