Hi,

I am the outreach coordinator for Colorado High School Charter. I wanted to extend the invitation to develop a possible partnership between our two organizations to better serve the needs of the youth in Denver. We are a small alternative charter school in central Denver, with devoted teacher, a strong school culture, and the ability to help struggling students get their high school diploma AND have a post secondary plan.

I would enjoy the opportunity to speak with someone over the phone or in person about our program and how our organizations can potentially partner.

Sincerely,
Denise Hartsock

I have the honor of working with the non-profit organization, One Million Bones, who seeks to raise awareness of genocide in the Sudan, Somalia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Burma. This collaborative arts program involves the making of handmade human bones created by students, educators, volunteers, and refugees which are being made for an exhibition that will be taking place in Washington DC at the National Mall Spring 2013. Each bone generates $1, up to $500,000 towards the relief and rebuilding efforts of CARE, an organization working in Africa. Colorado's goal for contribution is at least 7,000 bones.

If Africa Agenda considers this an opportunity of interest, please contact me at 303-242-0956.

All Best,
Marianne Beard

The ASA 107th Annual Meeting will be held August 17-20, 2012 at the Colorado Convention Center. We are seeking some local minority vendors to participate in our marketplace. The cost to exhibit is complimentary and we are not seeking any portion of profits made. We would like to give the local vendors some exposure to our attendees during session hours. Click the following link, http://www.asanet.cgx.com/, to view the floor plan. We will be located in Hall A. The marketplace will be inside the hall before the registration area. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have known for some time of your work and cheering you on from a distance in Boulder. I am writing now because I recently met a Nigerian woman at a conference on the east coast. She will be visiting Denver May 27-30 and needs a place to stay in south Denver. Is there anyone in your network who could help? I think you would enjoy her and be interested in the work she in planning to do in Nigeria. Please call or write so I can put her in contact directly.

To whom it may concern: back in 2002 or 2002 one of the attorneys RMSC worked with our friend Bocar Mbodj, a political refugee from Mauritania who escaped w/his family into Sudan & who was seeking political asylum in Denver, CO. Your attorney prepared a dossier & represented him in court to gain legal status. It was denied. Bocar was not given a copy of the dossier, & he has no information, no paperwork.. Can you direct us to someone who might have a copy of his file or any information on Bocar? I have talked with RMIAN, who cannot help but who gave me the name of the last director of RMSC , Regina Germain, who now is with the UN High Commision for Refugees in Washington, DC. Are you able to get her contact information for us? It seems impossible that all files from RMSC were destroyed. We do have Form G-639 Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act Request, which we will submit, but we understand it takes 6 months. Bocar may not be able to remain here that long.
Thank you very much. Know that any help you are able to give us will be greatly appreciated.
